Vijay, son of Producer, Director S.A.Chandra Sekaran, was introduced in the film industry by his father in the film Senthoora Pandi. He used to take risks by doing fight scenes himself. And used to sing songs in his films. His hit films include Deva, Kathalukku Mariyathai, Neruku Ner, Poove Unakkaga, Love Today, Once More, Thullatha Manamum Thullum, Nenjinile, Minsara Kanna, Kannukul Nilavu etc. Won various awards from film magazines. Also had received "Kalaimamani" award from Tamilnadu Government.
